WRITING

  • I believe some of the greatest gifts that someone can give to you are love, respect, loyalty, compassion and encouragement but the one that tops them all for me has already been given to me by my mother and father. Yes, they gave me all the things I mentioned at the beginning of this post but as I have told them on several occasions, the greatest gift they gave me was teaching me about my Saviour, Jesus.

  • What colleges have you attended? I have attended one college along with one institute.

  • It’s been a few days since I have written so I am currently working on catching up on my entries for Bloganuary 2024 but like they say, better late than never so here is my response for the second prompt for the year.

  • First off, Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and that 2024 is safe and joyful for you. With it being January 1st, not only is it the beginning of a new year but also the beginning of Bloganuary. The prompt to kick off this year’s writing event is “What are your biggest challenges?” and it’s an easy one for me.

  • Back in September, I got to sit in on an online drawing webinar with the talented Anna from AndSheDrawsBig, who specializes in 3D hand drawn interior and exterior renderings. • We had another snowstorm this weekend in my part of the world. The snow is piled up so high, that the houses across the street, which I can normally see just fine through my basement apartment windows, are now blocked by giant walls of it and apparently, we are supposed to get even more snow this coming week. However, despite the daunting view of outside, I do choose to look at it with humour (laughter can be the best medicine) and most importantly, thankfulness to God.

  • WordPress’ Daily Prompt: “Tell us about your favourite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.” Back in 2016, I took part in a writing challenge on the app, Lettrs and one of the prompts was “Shoe Lover” so I wrote a silly little piece about the best pair of boots I have ever owned. The Faux Leather Moto Boots from Urban Planet.

  • My first year participating in Bloganuary 2023 has ended. I didn’t post a response for every prompt but I knew that I probably wouldn’t from the beginning. Nevertheless, I did enjoy taking part in it and it helped me to make some progress on this new little blog of mine.

  • One thing I regret not doing early on in life is learning to speak another language fluently. I did take some French in school but after I graduated, I didn’t stick with it. In the past couple of years however, I have been interested in learning it again (and much more than I did in school) and I have been using Duolingo to do so.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
